The Summer Olympics is heating up and probably inspiring lots of kids to partake in their own competition. This craft will help you out in case your kids want to have a round of “Backyard” Olympics.
Materials you’ll need:
- Jar or glass
- Scissors or craft knife
- Puffy paint (optional)
- Metallic paints, Example
- Ribbon or rope
- To make the cardboard discs, trace around the jar’s opening. Draw 6 circles then cut them out.
- On 3 of the discs, use the puffy paint or glue to make your design. Allow to dry completely.
- Paint all 6 discs on one side and allow to dry.
- Cut your ribbon and tape to the inside of one disc. Then glue the front and backs together and let dry.
Your medals are ready for the closing ceremony. Good luck to your Backyard Olympic athletes!
