Although Easter is still a week away, we’ve already gone into bunny mode around our house. The Pi’ikea Street Easter board is packed with so many fun Easter ideas that it was difficult to even know where to start! We have had a lot of fun trying out some of the many wonderful ideas out there and here are our favorites so far:

               

We’ve read some great Easter kids books this year, but the classic Max’s Chocolate Chicken still remains a favorite. I think most of us, child or adult, can relate when Max gazes at that huge chocolate chicken and whispers, “I love you”. Easter Babies: A Springtime Counting Book is a fun book for preschoolers who are learning to count and the beautiful illustrations introduce children to some of the natural rhythms of Spring.

This adorable bunny lunch from Jill Dubien was so easy to make and made of things that my 4-year old actually likes eating! I also love this recipe for Hot Cross Buns from the Pioneer Woman and they make a delicious Easter breakfast.

No Time for Flashcards had this fun and easy easter egg rock craft. I was surprised at how easy it was to find rocks shaped like easter eggs. We used this Kid Made Modern Shimmer paint and it looked just like the rocks in the picture. An easy, pretty Easter decoration.

Speaking of easy, this adorable garland from Mini Eco is hanging in my children’s room as we speak and it couldn’t be any easier to make! Just print out the template and cut. I will admit that I did not have the time or patience to cut out all the little mouths, so I just used a hole punch for the eyes and mouth; not quite as adorable as the original, but still pretty cute!

These intricate Easter coloring pages from doodle-art-alley.com have provided my daughter with hours of entertainment this week and I actually enjoyed coloring a couple of them too.

I cannot get over how much I love these mustache eggs from oh-whatfun.blogspot.com. We tried out a couple of them when we dyed Easter eggs this week and they were very fun, if not quite as cool as the original picture.

I know this is a lot of craft/project stuff, but this origami bunny from mermag.blogspot.com is also delightfully simple and fun. It’s easy to make, even if you (like me) are not an origami expert and would be a cute little addition to an Easter basket.
