Torn-Paper Collage
For this craft we’ll put together pictures of serene landscapes with torn paper. This project is totally kid-friendly because we won’t be using scissors (not until the very end) and just about every kid I know can tear paper like a professional. Let’s get started!
Supplies you’ll need:
- Construction paper
- Glue stick
- Water
- Paintbrush
- Pens or crayons
- Scissors (optional)
Steps:
- Dip paintbrush in water and draw lines onto the construction paper.Â
Then tear along the water line. Get creative and make other shapes using this method.
- Use pens or crayons to create detail.
- Next, you’ll need a whole piece of paper for your canvas. Glue your shapes onto your canvas. Â
Allow to dry.
- If the torn paper overlaps the canvas.Â
Fold over and glue or tear off. For a cleaner look, trim off with scissors.
This is a great way to use up scrap paper. And whatever shapes you don’t end up using, can be saved for the next time you’re inspired to create some lush landscapes.
Great job!
